Bulgarian Cultural Center - Atlanta

How It All Started
The Bulgarian Cultural Center in Atlanta was created February 14, 2009.
The Goal We Strive For
The main goal of the Bulgarian Center for Cultural Advance "St. Constantine - Cyril Philosopher" is to attract more and more children from Bulgarian origin whose families are permanently or temporary settled down in the US, as well as make the Bulgarian language and culture popular in the States.
What We Offer
The Center offers classes in Bulgarian language and Literature, History and Geography of Bulgaria, Bulgarian traditions and folklore. All children of Bulgarian origin who live in the US are welcome. As a cultural center "St. Constantine - Cyril Philosopher" is not limited only to children, but try to spread and promote the Bulgarian culture among people of all ages, and cultural backgrounds. As such, we offer private lessons to adult Americans who want to learn the language, want to explore the culture of our motherland.
Our dance formation has performed many times already on different occasions, and has shown great spirit under the guidance of our gifted choreographer.
Student Certification
The education at the Bulgarian Center for Cultural Advancement "St. Constantine - Cyril Philosopher" follows the required number of classes and subjects according to the curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria. The center also issues certificates for completed grades which after legalization at the Bulgarian Embassy in the US, are approved by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education. These certificates give opportunity to students to continue their education in Bulgaria without taking additional exams.
Qualification
Our teachers are well-qualified, and meet all the requirements for the teacher positions. On top of the approved and established methods of teaching, the instructors also use their own methods adapted to the individual needs and fluency of the Bulgarian language, spoken by the students.
